The 48-year-old "Saturday Night Live" comedian and "Ghostbusters" actress was targeted Wednesday when her personal website, JustLeslie.com, was hacked.

Personal information, including images of her driver's license and passport and sexually explicit photographs of Jones, appeared on the site. A video of Harambe, the gorilla who was shot and killed at the Cincinnati Zoo earlier this summer, appeared at the top of the site. Jones has been compared to the animal multiple times by internet trolls.

After the information appeared on the site Wednesday, Twitter users took to the social media platform to voice negative opinions of the photos.

The site was later deactivated.

Jones was previously the a target of online harassment in July when a series of racist and misogynistic attacks bombarded her Twitter account. The attacks prompted Jones to temporarily leave the platform.

"I leave Twitter tonight with tears and a very sad heart. All this cause I did a movie. You can hate the movie but the (comments) I got today...wrong," Jones tweeted in July before her brief absence from social media. She returned days later after receiving public support and encouragement from other celebrities and fans.

Jones' harassment began after her appearance in this year's women-led "Ghostbusters" remake.

During the Rio Olympics, for which NBC flew Jones to Brazil, the comedian defended gymnast Gabby Douglas, who was criticized for her hair and not placing her hand over her heart during the American national anthem, among other things.
