Target to hire 100,000 workers for holiday season

Target is hiring more than 100,000 employees for the holiday retail season.

The chain retailer is already gearing up for the busiest shopping season of the year, hiring 100,000 team members for its 1,816 stores in the U.S. and an additional 4,500 seasonal employees for its distribution and fulfillment centers. “Target has made significant investments in our business throughout 2017, and our commitment to hire 100,000 team members for the holidays will make shopping at Target even easier and more fun during one of the busiest times of the year,” said Janna Potts, chief stores officer.

Employees will receive a 10 percent merchandise discount at Target and Target.com and an additional 20 percent wellness discount on fruits and veggies, Simply Balanced brand foods and C9 athletic gear. There will be a seasonal hiring event from Oct. 13 to Oct. 15 in all Target stores.
