How Kroger and Kettering Health will partner to help clinic patients

Kettering Health Network and 10 of Kroger’s area Little Clinics are partnering to make it easier to share information for improved patient care, officials said.

The Little Clinic advanced practice providers at the the 10 Kroger locations and Kettering Physician Network physicians and specialists will share patient information related to the patient’s care as needed for treatment purposes upon the patient request.

Patients of Kettering Health Network who get care at The Little Clinic will have their records sent to their physician promptly when needed for treatment purposes and upon the patient’s request. Convenient availability to healthcare services in the evenings and weekends will help reduce visits to the emergency department, according to Kettering Health.

Patients of The Little Clinic who do not have a primary care provider or who require specialty care will have the option to be easily connected to Kettering Physician Network providers.

The partnership includes 10 stores: 3165 Dayton Xenia Road, Beavercreek; 2115 E. Dorothy Lane, Kettering; 885 Union Road, Englewood; 1510 Covington Ave., Piqua; 780 Northwoods Blvd., Vandalia; 155 N. Heincke Road, Miamisburg; 1095 S. Main Street, Centerville; 5400 Cornerstone North Blvd., Centerville; 731 W. Market Street, Troy; and 1161 E. Dayton Yellow Springs Road, Fairborn.

“This partnership is part of our shared vision to offer quality healthcare at a lower cost,” Fred Manchur, CEO of Kettering Health Network, said in a press release. “Now our patients have the choice of getting care at The Little Clinic close to where they live.”

Dr. Marc Watkins, chief medical officer with Kroger Health, said this will improve access to high quality care for patients and customers in the Dayton area.
