Recalls: Gas fireplaces, children’s products and more

If you have kids or plan to snuggle up next to a cozy fire - you want to make sure you don’t have the following recalled products.

Some Miles Industries Valor H5 gas fireplaces are under recall because the trim can leak hot air and burn you, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

There is one report of a mantle being charred, but no one has been hurt.

Stop using the fireplaces with various model and serial numbers which can be found here and contact Miles Industries at 866-420-3360 to schedule a free repair.

“Find the Bear” soft fabric books are being recalled because a metal grommet can come off and pose a choking hazard.

The Manhattan Toy logo and the lot code “208150 AJ” are printed on a sewn-in labels on the book.

Don’t let your child use the book and call Manhattan Toy at 800-541-1345 or return it to the place of purchase to get your money back.

Metal snaps can come off of some Children’s Place infant snowsuits, prompting a recall.

They were sold in White Sophy floral, Jazzberry ladybug, and Rosebud heart, and have the style numbers 2111187 or 2111188.

No one has been hurt but don’t let your child wear the snowsuit and return it or call 877-752-2387 for a full refund.

Packages of Women’s Iron Complete Dietary Supplements 60-count caplets are under recall because they are not child resistant and pose a serious health hazard if ingested by children, according to the C.P.S.C.

Keep the product out of reach of children and call GNC at 888-462-2548 or return the package to GNC to get your money back.

Some condensing tankless water heaters and combination boilers by Navien are under recall because they could cause carbon monoxide poisoning.

A kit installed on them that converts them from natural gas to propane may produce excessive amounts of CO.

No incidents have been reported, but don't use the recalled products with various model, UPC codes, and serial numbers, which can be found here,

and install a carbon monoxide detector outside of sleeping areas in your home, according to the C.P.S.C.
