Has your voter registration been purged?

People in Greene and Montgomery can check to see if their names have been purged from voter rolls due to inactivity by checking alphabetized lists published online by the League of Women Voters of Greater Dayton.

Federal law allows county boards of election to remove names from the list of registered voters if the person has not participated in an election for the last two federal elections. Those who have been inactive should receive notification from their local county board to verify if their addresses are current and those that do not respond can be purged from the list.

That means they can't vote on Nov. 3 unless they re-register by October 5.

To see the list of purged voters in Greene or Montgomery County visit www.lwvdayton.org and click on the county name under "Purged". Or visit your local county board of elections website to see if your voter registration is up to date.

All voter registration forms and absentee ballot information are available online at www.sos.state.oh.us or at the local board office.
