Celebrities help open new Clinton offices

Actress Kristin Davis and former Olympic skater Michelle Kwan will campaign for Hillary Clinton in Ohio this week as the Democratic presidential candidate's campaign opens organizing offices in Mason, Lima and Grove City.

Davis and Kwan will join volunteers, staff and Ohio Democrats in opening the  offices, which serve as hubs for the campaign's organizing activities, according to the campaign. The new offices are in addition to 12 others in Ohio.

Davis will be at the Mason office opening at 7 p.m. at 117 N. Main Street and then on Thursday join Clinton supporters for coffee in Cincinnati and phone bank volunteers in Newark.

Kwan will join volunteers and other Ohio Democrats opening offices in Lima and Grove City Thursday evening after appearing in Dayton with Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley during the day.

Whaley and Kwan will be at a Women for Hillary event at 1:30 p.m. at 106 Park Drive, Dayton.

The Clinton effort is also part of Ohio Together, which is the statewide grassroots organization working to elect Democrats for offices across the state.

Clinton and U.S. Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va. are running against Republican businessman Donald J. Trump and Indiana Gov. Mike Pence.
