The Cincinnati Bengals placed Rey Maualuga on the Active/Non-Football Injury list Thursday evening and signed former wide receiver Greg Little.

The location of Maualuga's injury is undisclosed, but he is expected to be able to practice soon.

Little, who signed with the Bengals last October and was waived in February, gives the team some added depth after second-year receiver James Wright was placed on on season-ending Injured Reserve on Wednesday.

Little appeared in six games and the wildcard playoff contest last year, catching six passes for 69 yards. He was targeted once and did not catch a pass in the playoff loss to the Colts.

To make room for Little on the roster, the Bengals waived wide receiver Cobi Hamilton.

Earlier Thursday the Bengals signed wide receiver Desmond Lawrence, a rookie from North Carolina A&T.

The 5-foot-10, 181-pound Lawrenceh had 79 catches for 789 yards and five touchdowns in two seasons at the school.

He signed with the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent on May 8, and was released May 12.
