Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton made an appearance on NBC's The Tonight Show on Thursday, poking fun at his red hair.

As part of a skit called Tonight Show Superlatives, host Jimmy Fallon reached out to a number of NFL players to help celebrate the season-opening game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New England Patriots.

Each player took a turn joking about what they were voted "Most Likely" to do, with Dalton kicking off the 2 1/2-minute skit by saying he was voted most likely to "be the love child of Ed Sheeran and the Firefox logo."

"That's a fun thing, especially with all the different guys they got involved in that," Dalton said. "It used to be them just showing a picture of us and saying it, now they stepped it up this year and they have us actually say it (on video). But yeah, I think it's fun. Guys like to joke around about it and stuff."

Dalton said the show gave him a handful of lines to read.

"I read about five or six of them," he said. "They kind of picked the best one. I got to read all of them before. I wasn't going to just agree to anything."

In addition to Dalton, 13 other NFL players took part, including Centerville native Nick Mangold, of the New Y ork Jets, and Cleveland Browns players Joe Haden and Joe Thomas.

Also taking part were New Orleans' Drew Brees, Indianapolis' Andrew Luck, Detroit's Calvin Johnson and Matthew Stafford, Baltimore's Joe Flacco, New England's Rob Gronkowski, Miami's Ndamukong Suh, Green Bay's Clay Matthews and Aaron Rodgers, Denver's Peyton Manning and Mangold's Jets teammate D'Brickashawn Ferguson.
