Bengals cut seven players

The Bengals got a jump on Tuesday's deadline to trim the roster to 75 players by release seven players today.

Among those let go were four veterans in wide receiver Denarius Moore, linebacker Nico Johnson, defensive end Sam Montgomery and defensive tackle Kwame Geathers.

The team also waived three college free agents in tight end John Peters, guard Chris Jasperse and wide receiver Desmond Lawrence.

The moves bring the Bengals roster size to 80, which means the team will need to waive another five players by 4 p.m. Tuesday.
