Doyle Meadows, who is sight-impaired, was the only occupant and he escaped the fire uninjured, according to the fire report.
Firefighters said several propane tanks were seen and were venting from the heat. Meadows told firefighters multiple tanks were inside the home.
He told firefighters he had heated the residence with propane tanks for 15 years and while changing tanks the tank “blew up,” according to the report. One week after the fire, several tanks were visible outside the charred residence.
The trailer was a total loss and the fire caused $5,000 in damages to the structure and $1,000 to the contents, the report said.
