What to expect with Weekend Storm System

Our second and stronger storm system of the week will bring impacts to the Miami Valley starting Friday.

Here's a break down of what you need to know to get through the weekend:

Friday: Dry day that will be breezy and mild. Clouds will increase into the afternoon.

Friday Night: Looking windy but mostly dry for the night. Showers and storms will favor north of I-70 until the early morning hours Saturday.

Saturday: Showers likely ongoing across the north early and even a few rumbles of thunder. A lull possible before more showers and storms get going for the afternoon hours. An isolated strong storm will be possible but outside of any storms winds may gust between 40-50MPH. Travel will be tricky especially for high profile vehicles. Heavy rain may also lead to ponding on the roads.

Saturday Night: Behind the front temperatures will drop quickly. Winds from the northwest will drop temperatures quickly. The chance for flurries will likely stay north of I-70 for the night.

Sunday: Cold in the 30s and still breezy.
