Monday: Warm air has arrived across the Miami Valley and showers will continue to push east over the next few hours for dry time by 4:30 a.m., said Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Kirstie Zontini. Rain has been steady and heavy in spots so roads will stay wet for the morning commute. Gusty winds of about 20 to 25 mph will relax a little, but it will stay breezy through the day. Temperatures will actually drop through the day, so most of the afternoon will be spent in the 20s. As cold air moves in this morning, some isolated slick spots could develop. Drivers should take their time as they deal with lingering wet roads and isolated slick spots. Clouds will break for some peaks of sun. Wind wills will be in the teens today.

Tuesday: Cloudy skies are expected with the chance for a few passing snow showers. Highs will be in the middle 30s. Some areas could see some light accumulation.

Wednesday: Cloudy skies are on tap with the chance for a few lingering flurries. Accumulation is not expected. Highs will be in the middle 20s.

Thursday: The coldest air of the season arrives in the morning and stays through Friday. Waking up we'll be in single digits, with wind chills near or below zero. Mostly cloudy skies are expected with highs in the teens.

Friday: Another cold and cloudy day is expected. The day starts in single digits with wind chills near or below zero. There is the chance for snow later in the day with highs in the middle 20s.
