DP&L action plan in place for potential severe storms

Dayton Power and Light will have 100 workers available to address any power related issues that may arise if severe weather causes any damage or outages across the Miami Valley Friday night.

“The number one issue is going to be trees,” said Bruce Coppock, director of operations at DP&L. “When those very large trees come down, our equipment doesn’t stand a chance.

Coppock said it’s important for people to report any outages or downed wires to them immediately, so they can dispatch crews to address the issues.

“Call us.  If it’s really urgent call 911,” Coppock said. “We’ll get crews there as quickly as possible.”
