Town bans women from straddling motorbikes
An Indonesian province bans women from straddling motorbikes. Women’s rights are something that can be easily taken for granted. A city in Aceh province in Indonesia recently ruled that women who are passengers on motorcycles must sit “side straddled”, meaning that both of their legs must dangle to one side only.
