148 Years Later, Mississippi ratified 13th Amendment

Full Segment: Mississippi lawmakers have officially ratified the 13th Amendment to the Constitution, which banned slavery in 1865. After Dr. Ranjan Batra, associate professor in the Department of Neurobiology and Anatomical Sciences at the University of Mississippi, saw the film "Lincoln," he took matter into his own hands and pushed the Mississippi legislature to officially ratify the 148-year-old amendment.
