When ranked by fans' grammar, Georgia football teams don't fare well

College football preseason rankings — lots of people have them.

ESPN has one. So does the Associated Press. So does Grammarly.com, the world's best plagiarism checker.

Grammarly didn't rank teams on their offensive or defensive lines, or on the strength and speed of their quarterback.

Instead, Grammarly looked at fans' comments on each of SB Nation's blogs for the preseason top 25 teams.

According to the Wall Street Journal: "The comments were reviewed by Grammarly's algorithm, which can account for hundreds of types of spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors, and verified by editors at the company."

So, how did Georgia and Georgia Tech finish? Sorry, fans, but this is one trophy neither team will be bringing home.

Georgia Tech finished No. 21, which was three notches higher than Georgia, at 24.

Alabama won't win this one, either. The Crimson Tide finished at No. 25.

So, which team sits atop this poll? Auburn.
