Seeded fourth for the single-elimination portion of the tourney, the Hamilton squad beat No. 5 Hunter 11-1, No. 1 Patterson Park 9-5 and then Southern Ohio for the title 5-1.
Top West Side hitters in the tournament were Dylan Staudt (.545), Peyton Aragon (.462) and Benji Hughes (.444). Casey Brann and Ashton Craft provided key home runs, Joey Hampton’s two RBIs were big in Game 4, and first baseman Logan Herrmann was a defensive standout.
Hamilton’s pitchers included Craft, Kaleb Jackson, Michael Turner, Maddox McIntosh and Carter Abner.
