Six Badin student-athletes commit to playing in college

Six Badin High School student-athletes confirmed their collegiate choices during a recent ceremony at the school. They are:

• A.J. Ernst, who will play baseball at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Ernst is hitting .250 with seven RBIs and seven steals this spring. He will major in mechanical engineering.

• Olivia Keene, who will play basketball at Mount St. Joseph. Keene averaged 4.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.1 steals per game this winter. She will major in early childhood education.

• Sam Krabacher, who will run cross country and track at Ohio Northern. Krabacher was a first-team selection in the Greater Catholic League Coed Division in the fall. He will major in pharmacy.

• Kyle Manuel, who will run cross country and track at Heidelberg. Manuel was a second-team selection in the GCLC in the fall. He will major in criminal justice.

• Karley Schlensker, who will play volleyball and swim at Wilmington. Schlensker collected 153 kills last fall. She will major in athletic training.

• Matt Schweinefuss, who will play at soccer at Ohio Northern. Schweinefuss totaled nine goals and nine assists last fall. He will major in electrical engineering.
