HS Results 1/18: Griffitts records triple double in Tecumseh girls win

The Tecumseh girls basketball team defeated Northmont, 66-48.

Corrine Thomas led all scorers with 25 points for Tecumseh.

Presley Griffitts had an outstanding night offensively, recording a triple double with 23 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

Zoey Berner tacked on a double double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Jenna Hoschouer tallied 12 points in the loss and Salena Roberts chipped in 11.

Girls Basketball

Lakota West 60, Fairfield 41: Abby Prohaska scored 15 points in the West win. Zahrya Bailey countered with 15 points to lead Fairfield.

Greenon 50, West Jefferson 32: Reagan Ware recorded half of Greenon’s points, putting up 25 in the win.

Tecumseh 66, Northmont 48: Corrine Thomas’ 25 points led Tecumseh as Presley Griffitts tacked on a triple double with 23 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Jenna Hoschouer put up 12 points in the loss.

Bellbrook 52, Franklin 34: Bekah Vine put up 15 points in the win. Layne Ferrell tallied 27 of Franklin’s 34 points.

Oakwood 56, Chaminade Julienne 52: Lauren Hapgood’s 31 points and eight steals helped Oakwood upset CJ for the win. Annie Weckesser had 20 points in the loss.

Valley View 62, Eaton 35: Hunter Stidham recorded a triple double with 15 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in the win. Emily Dungan shot for nine points for Eaton.

Wilmington 68, Clinton Massie 49: Mya Jackson led all scorers with 28 points in the win.

Dunbar 86, Meadowdale 2: Aria Cole netted 20 points, eight assists and six steals on the night. Samaria Brown chipped in 15. Dunbar set a school record with 29 steals in a single game.

Greeneview 71, Fairbanks 41: Frankie Fife and Caitlin Sweat co-led with 18 points each in the win.

Mechanicsburg 47, Southeastern 34: Kasey Schipfer tallied 13 points in the ‘Burg win. Avery Shepherd countered with 14 in the loss.

Northeastern 42, Madison Plains 22: Hayley Suchland led all scorers with a double double, putting up 27 points, 13 rebounds and nine steals in the win.

Triad 59, Catholic Central 50: Emma Vanninen recorded 22 points to lead all scorers in the Triad victory.

Legacy Christian 62, Dayton Christian 41: Emma Hess tallied 21 points in the win to lead. Kathleen Ahner tacked on 13 and Emily Riddle 10.

Covington 50, Greenville 33: Samanta Whiteman led all scorers with 22 points for Covington. Morgan Gilbert’s 11 was a team high for Greenville.

Franklin Monroe 52, Bradford 34: Chloe Brumbaugh scored a career high 29 points in the win. Skipp Miller had a double double with 16 points and 16 rebounds, setting the school record for rebounds in a season.

Tri-Village 56, Tri County North 33: Emma Printz tallied 17 points in the TV win. Aubrey Stupp put up 24 for TCN.

Russia 27, Jackson Center 21: Laurissa Poling recorded 10 points in the win.

Coldwater 75, Delphos St. John’s 40: Maura Hoying netted 23 points, nine rebounds and six assists in the win. Olivia Harlamert tacked on 13 points and five rebounds.

Marion Local 41, Parkway 28: Kelsey Koenig tallied 17 points in the win.

Minster 47, New Bremen 44: Courtney Prenger shot for 14 points in the Minster victory. Paige Jones had 17 in the loss.

Kenton 64, St. Marys 52: MaKenna Mele tallied 20 points for St. Marys.

Boys Bowling

Carroll 2435, Monroe 2382: Jacob Schoening was the high bowler for Carroll with a 513 series. Dustin Warmoth countered with a 417 series for Monroe.

Girls Bowling

West Liberty-Salem 1982, Northeastern 1538: Ashlyn Parks rolled a personal high of 191 and added on a 124 game for a 315 series. Hailee Clifford led in the win with a 332 series.
