HS Results 12/29: Curtis’ big night leads Xenia

Samari Curtis poured in 34 points to lead Xenia in a 72-58 win against Beavercreek on Friday.

Curtis drained seven three-point shots for Xenia, which took control with a 20-point swing in the second quarter.

Jon Alessandro had 28 points for Beavercreek in a losing effort.

Centerville 46, First Academy (FL) 43, 2OT: Donovan Shelton scored 11 points to help Centerville advance to the championship game at the City Beautiful Tournament in Orlando, Fla.

Sidney 57, Urbana 50: Andre Gordon had 11 of his 32 points in the final quarter to help Sidney seal the win. Jace Underwood scored 18 for Urbana.

Tippecanoe 78, Tecumseh 46: Dan Hagen tallied 21 points, Josh Wildermuth 19 and Cade Gingerich 13 for Tipp. Clay Mastin led Tecumseh with 13.

Troy 45, Spg. Shawnee 43: Zach Reichelderfer totaled 19 points for Troy. Billy Lord led Shawnee with 14.

Lakota East 53, Mater Academy 48: Jarrett Cox led East with 21 points and Bash Weiland added on 14 at the Arby’s Classic at Bristol High School in Tennessee.

Kenton Ridge 71, Greenon 38: Nasiim McKay tallied 23 points, Jameel Cosby 17 and Blake Rice 10 for KR. Logan Coppock had 10 for Greenon.

Madison 60, Talawanda 40: Grant Whisman led the way for Madison with 20 points and Tristan Sipple added 12. Ty Hornsby totaled 13 for Talawanda.

Preble Shawnee 56, Twin Valley South 54: Joey Bates put in 21 points and Chase Thompson 14 to help Shawnee prevail. Willie Bowman had 21 for TVS.

Troy Christian 60, Piqua 58: James Anderson had 30 points in an outstanding performance for Troy Christian at the Piqua Holiday Tournament. Ben Schmiesing paced Piqua with 15.

Dayton Christian 55, Carlisle 53: Matt Welker scored 23 points to lead DC in a close win. Justin Flor carried Carlisle with 25.

Legacy Christian 69, Northeastern 47: Keano Hammerstrom led Legacy with 24 points and Erik Uszynski added 16.

Chaminade Julienne 50, Glen Oak 49: Milton Gage scored 16 points and CJ pulled ahead in the second half and held on for the victory.

Badin 67, Purcell Marian 63: Jakob Tipton led all scorers with 19 points and Joey Walsh hit a pair of foul shots with seven seconds to play to seal the win for Badin.

Carroll 52, Northridge 31: Austin Schafer paced Carroll with 18 points and Matt Cogan added 14 for Carroll in the championship match of the Northridge Holiday Tournament. Twon Hines had 17 for Northridge.

Stivers 59, Bishop Watterson 46: Allan Latimore had 25 points to help Stivers win the consolation game of the Northridge Holiday Tournament.

National Trail 55, Dixie 43: Travis Hunt tallied 22 points and Cameron Harrison tacked on 15 for Trail. Devin Worley led Dixie with 16.

Covington 47, Lehman Catholic 46: Braden Miller had 22 points to help Covington pull out a close win in the Piqua Holiday Tournament. Kameron Lee led Lehman with 17.

Catholic Central 56, West Liberty-Salem 41: Sabien Doolittle carried Central with 15 points and Dominic DeWitt added 14. Neil Markin paced WLS with 14.

New Bremen 68, Indian Lake 48: Grant Hoehne had 24 points to pace New Bremen. Collin Coburn led Lake with 22.

Versailles 68, Miami East 37: Justin Ahrens scored 20 points and A.J. Ahrens 16 for Versailles. Austin Kearns and Austin Rutledge each had 11 for East.

Anna 76, Botkins 47: Mason Platfoot put up 15 points and Riley Huelskamp and Griffin Doseck chipped in 15 apiece for Anna. Spencer Heuker paced Botkins with 18.

Russia 54, Fairlawn 41: Jack Dapore recorded 16 points and Jordan York 13 for Russia. Luke Hickman had 14 for Fairlawn.

Minster 80, Houston 44: Isaac Schmiesing led four players in double-digit scoring with 17 for Minster. Howie Ludwig led Houston with 15.

New Knoxville 56, St. Marys 49: Nathan Tinnerman tallied 17 points for New Knoxville. Braedan Dunlap scored 19 for St. Marys.

Coldwater 53, Marion Local 49: Cole Frilling carried Coldwater with 13 points and Myles Blasingame added 10.

Oakwood 57, Butler 46: Margie Conrath and Lauren Hapgood scored 17 points apiece to lead Oakwood.

Newton 70, Fairlawn 36: Tatum McBride put in 23 points for Newton.
