The Cincinnati Bengals will be without cornerback Adam Jones and wide receiver John Ross today at Pittsburgh.
The Bengals listed Ross as questionable on the injury report, meaning he had a 50-50 percent chance of playing, but he will miss his fourth consecutive game after re-aggravating his left knee injury in the Week 2 loss to Houston.
Jones will miss his first game since he was suspended for the season opener. He suffered a back injury in the Week 5 victory against Buffalo and was listed as doubtful after missing practice Thursday and Friday.
Will Jackson is expected to start in his place, as he did in Week 1 game against Baltimore. This will be a big test for the 2016 first-round pick, who is sure to see plenty of Pittsburgh wide receiver Antonio Brown, the NFL leader in receptions (48) and receiving yards (700).
Safety Derron Smith will play for the first time since Week 2. He was listed as questionable with an ankle injury suffered in practice Sept. 20, but the ankle held up in pregame testing.
The other inactives are wide receiver Tyler Boyd (knee) and H-back Ryan Hewitt (knee), both of whom were ruled out Friday, safety Derron Smith (ankle) and offensive linemen Christian Westerman and Alex Redmond.
Smith, who hasn’t played since Week 2, was listed as questionable with an ankle injury.
With Ross and Boyd inactive, rookie fourth-round wide receiver Josh Malone will dress for the first time.
The Steelers are without two starters in defensive end Stephon Tuitt (back) and right tackle Marcus Gilbert (hamstring). Their other inactives are quarterback Joshua Dobbs, wide receiver Justin Hunter, cornerback Brian Allen, linebacker Arthur Moats and offensive tackle Jerald Hawkins.
