HAMILTON — LaSalle blanked Badin 6-0 Monday night at the Hamilton High Soccer Stadium.

The loss dropped the Rams to 6-7-1 overall and 2-5-1 in the Greater Catholic League.

Badin returns to action Thursday at Fenwick.

Cincinnati Christian 0

FAIRFIELD TOWNSHIP — Seven Hills nipped host Cincinnati Christian 1-0 Monday.

The loss dropped the Cougars to 5-10, while Seven Hills improved to 8-4-3.

Cincinnati Christian returns to action Thursday at home against St. Bernard.

Mercy 0

CINCINNATI — Badin clinched its second consecutive Girls Greater Cincinnati League Gray Division championship Monday night with a 1-0 victory at Mercy.

The Rams (10-3-2 overall, 5-3-2 GGCL Gray Division) scored their only goal of the game on a corner kick from Kristina Anderson to Lindsey Smith.

Jenny Rosen recorded her seventh shutout in goal with the help of defenders Ashley Roberto, Janie Jeffcoat, Anderson, Tori Mathews and Emily Flum.

Badin returns to action Saturday when the team wraps its regular season with a road game at Indian Hill.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Lockland 3

New Miami 0

CINCINNATI — New Miami wrapped its regular season with a 27-25, 25-8, 25-22 loss at Lockland on Monday.

Leading players for the Vikings (5-9 overall, 5-6 Miami Valley Conference) were Mallory Augustine (13 service points, three aces, six digs, two kills), Danielle Faulkner (nine digs) and Amberly Rison (eight kills, seven digs, two blocks).

New Miami returns to action next Tuesday for a Division IV sectional game against Cincinnati Christian at Norwood.

Talawanda sweeps tri-match

CINCINNATI — Talawanda beat Badin 25-27, 25-18, 15-10 and Northwest 25-13, 25-13 Monday night in a tri-match at Northwest.

Leading THS players in the Badin match were Sarah Lintner (nine kills), Jessie Stephenson (seven kills, 10 digs), Brittany Sandlin (seven kills), Bekah Self (two aces, 29 assists) and Savannah Bertsch (10 digs), while the standouts against Northwest were Lyndsay Corcoran (five aces), Bertsch (seven digs), Jasmine Clark (five kills), Stephenson (six kills) and Self (three blocks, 21 assists).

The Braves (15-3), the Mid-Miami League South Division champions and overall MML tri-champs, return to action today at Lebanon in the MML Tournament against the winner of the West Carrollton-Miamisburg match.

Cincinnati Country Day 0

CINCINNATI — Cincinnati Christian swept host Cincinnati Country Day 25-19, 25-15, 25-17 Monday.

The win raised the Cougars' record to 8-7 while dropping CCD to 9-7.

Cincinnati Christian returns to action today at Milford Christian.

Fairfield 7th rolls: FAIRFIELD — The Fairfield seventh-grade team beat visiting Milford 36-6 Monday. Jordan Jackson, Jake Shiffman, Brad Conese and Dalton Moore all scored touchdowns for the Indians. Andrew Guenther had two two-point conversions. Ron Jenkins, Danny Culmo, Domanick Day and Conner Durbin all played well on defense. The team returns to action Thursday at Harrison.

Fairfield JV 'B" falls: FAIRFIELD — Milford beat the Fairfield reserve 'B' team 1-0 Monday. Leading players for the Indians (8-5-2) were Greg Kuertz, Daniel Constable and Tyler Waltz. The team returns to action Thursday at Mason.

Girls Soccer

Badin JV falls: CINCINNATI — The Badin reserve team lost to Mercy 2-1 Monday. Amanda Graber score the Rams' only goal off an assist from Kaitlyn Spradling. Badin (8-4-3) returns to action Saturday at Indian Hill.

Girls Volleyball

Talawanda JV splits tri-match: OXFORD — The Talawanda reserve team lost to Badin 25-15, 25-8 but beat Northwest 25-14, 25-22 in a tri-match at THS on Monday. The Braves finish their season with a record of 6-13.

Wilson splits at Hopewell: WEST CHESTER TOWNSHIP — The Wilson seventh- and eighth-grade teams split their matches with Hopewell on Monday. The seventh-grade team won 22-25, 26-24, 15-13 behind the strong play of Abby Rowe (seven service points) and Brittany Lightfoot (11 service points). The eighth-grade team fell 25-22, 21-25, 13-15 despite solid play by Chrissy Flannery (10 service points), Ashley Noga (seven service points) and Emily Robson (five service points)

Cross Country

FMS runs at GMC: SHARONVILLE — The Fairfield Middle School teams competed in the Greater Miami Conference meet Monday at Sharon Woods. Leading runners for the Indians were: Seventh-grade girls — Julie Allen (24th, 15:11), Rachel Kosarko (40th, 16:38), Ray Slaven (50th, 17:39); seventh-grade boys — Cris Whitehill (31st, 13:33), Zach Goins (38th, 13:42) and Eric Ward (55th, 14:39); eighth-grade girls — Hannah Holthaus (24th, 13:48), Brooke Barden (26th, 13:55) and Lauren Gray (39th, 14:15); eighth-grade boys — Ray Kuertz (24th, 12:16), Nathan Ducklo (27th, 12:26) and Eric Meyer (43rd, 13:12)
