Sophomore setter Alexis Thomas is among the top players for the Lake Erie College volleyball team this season.
The Fairfield High School graduate leads the Storm in assists (839) and ranks second in digs (238) and service aces (19). She also has 66 kills and 20 total blocks.
Lake Erie is 12-10 overall and 4-4 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The Storm will travel to Central State on Tuesday, facing CSU at 5:30 p.m. and Urbana at 7:30 p.m.
Football: Senior defensive end Ben Bostick (Lakota East) has 21 solo tackles and five assists for Centre, which is 5-1 overall and 3-1 in the Southern Athletic Association.
Bostick also has 2.5 sacks, five tackles for loss and one forced fumble for the Colonels, who will host Sewanee for homecoming Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
• Senior outside linebacker Nick Szabados (Moeller) of Middletown is third in tackles (18 solos, nine assists) for Lake Erie, which is 0-7 overall and in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
Szabados has also contributed 2.5 tackles for loss for the Storm, who will travel to Ferris State on Saturday at 1 p.m.
• Senior defensive back Anthony Wene (Lebanon) has 12 solo tackles and 13 assists for Otterbein, which is 3-3 overall and 3-2 in the Ohio Athletic Conference.
The Cardinals will visit Baldwin Wallace on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Women’s soccer: Freshman goalkeeper Mickey McClanahan (Fenwick) has a 4-2-1 record in eight starts for Walsh, which is 7-4-3 overall and 3-3-2 in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
McClanahan is allowing 1.38 goals per game with a .744 save percentage for the Cavaliers, who will be back in action at Salem International on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
