Five Things: Barrett, Jones get Ohio State offense moving again

1. Quarterback strategy: After Urban Meyer hinted that Ohio State he might replace Cardale Jones with J.T. Barrett in the red zone, the Buckeyes did just that. For one game at least, it solved all their problems inside the 20-yard line. The Buckeyes scored touchdowns on all six drives into the red zone. In their first five games, they scored touchdowns on six of 16 possessions inside the 20. Barrett rushed 12 times for 62 yards and scored three touchdowns. “J.T. is just a very good player,” Meyer said. “We’ve been having some red-zone issues. … He provided an obvious spark for us in there. Of course, he’s a leader and a guy that needs to be on the field.”
