Lazor, who joined the Bengals staff as quarterbacks coach in 2016, took over as offensive coordinator Sept. 15, when the Bengals fired Ken Zampese after failing to score a touchdown in their first games last season.

The Bengals finished last in the league in total offense (280.5), 31st in rushing offense (85.4), 27th in passing offense (195.1) and 26th in scoring offense (18.1) in 2017.

“We have a lot of talent on this roster and I am excited for the opportunity to build the high-powered offense we have the potential to be,” Lazor said in a press release. “This offseason will give us the chance to continue the success we had at the end of the year as we develop into a dynamic offense in 2018.”
Over the final six games of the season, the Bengals offense ranked 21st in total offense (305.3), 18th in rushing offense (114.3), 21st in passing offense (191.0) and 18th in scoring offense (20.2).
