The Cincinnati Bengals on Friday signed cornerback Tony McRae to the practice squad and released cornerback Sojourn Shelton.

The 5-foot-10, 185-pound McRae was on the Bengals practice squad for six games last year and was with the team through OTAs and training camp this summer.

He was waived by the Bengals on Sept. 2. He spent time with the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills since then.

The Ravens signed McRae to their practice squad Sept. 5 and promoted him to the active roster Sept. 16, and he played in five games with one tackle on special teams.

Baltimore waived McRae on Saturday, and his time in Buffalo lasted just three days, from Monday to Wednesday.
