With Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict’s roster exemption set to expire at 4 p.m., the team released linebacker Hardy Nickerson to make room on the 53-man roster.

The Bengals requeted and were granted a three-day exemption for Burfict when he returned from three-game suspension.

Nickerson is an undrafted rookie free agent who made the 53-man roster out of training camp. He appeared in all three games this season, playing primarily on special teams.
