Rams fall in regional semis
Badin's football season ends with playoff loss
Eight victories are Rams' most since 1998

DAYTON — The Badin High School football team's playoff run ended in disappointing fashion Friday night, Nov. 7.
Kettering Alter scored the game's first 42 points and snapped the Rams' six-game winning streak with a 42-7 victory in a Division IV, Region 16 semifinal contest at Dayton's Welcome Stadium.
Badin was hoping things would be different from its 56-7 loss to the Knights in the regular season, and a three-and-out defensive stop to open the game was a promising start.
But Alter scored touchdowns on its next four possessions and thwarted Badin's lone scoring chance of the opening half with an interception in the end zone on the final play of the second quarter.
The Greater Catholic League Central Division champion Rams finished their first playoff season since 2002 with an 8-4 record. The eight wins were the most by a Badin team since the 1998 squad went 10-3.
Alter improved to 10-2 and will face defending state champion Coldwater for the regional championship.
