WNBA's Chicago Sky cut Miami's Jackson

After surviving the first cut, Miami University standout Amanda Jackson was waived Friday, May 9, by the WNBA's Chicago Sky.

Jackson, the Springfield South graduate who is the all-time leading scorer at Miami, played in three preseason games, averaging 4.3 points, 1.0 rebound, 1.3 assists in 15 minutes per outing.

She said she may now look into playing overseas.

Twice a first-team All-Mid American Conference selection and 2008 MAC tournament Most Valuable Player, the 5-foot-9 guard was only the second player in MAC history to surpass 1,900 points, 500 rebounds, 300 assists and 300 steals.
