Visit this beautiful 189-acre facility where a wide variety of plants are cultivated for education and aesthetics. Every season has something special to offer, from spring's splashes of bright color to winter's textures. Stroll among specimen trees, shrubs and other plants suitable to our climate. The Arboretum hosts nine specialty gardens. In addition to exploring the gardens, hike 3.5 miles of trails through mature forests and colorful meadows. There's something for everyone at Cox Arboretum MetroPark!
Guided Tours: Schools and other groups may schedule guided tours of the Arboretum. Guided tram tours are available to persons with disabilities. Call 434-9005 to schedule.
Festivals & Exhibits: Seasonal festivals include the Spring Plant Festival, Butterfly Festival, and Garlic Festival - each with children's activities, food, entertainment, an artisans' gallery, workshops and more. Special exhibits are displayed periodically throughout the year.
