The 2010 Census form looks like a lot of work to fill out, but it basically is a form to list everyone in your household’s name, age, birthday, race, etc. I filled mine out in about 10 minutes. It’s painless and very important.

I just received my Census form and found that they’re asking questions about whether you own your home, if you have an equity loan, etc., not just how many people live in your household. I don’t understand why these questions are necessary.

Regarding James Mignerey’s “Hamilton’s 5 movie houses part of growing up here,” March 14: I really enjoyed reading about the five movie houses in Hamilton. It reminded me of my own childhood and how much fun it was growing up in Hamilton.

Regarding “Local halfway house to close, loses state funding,” March 12: I’m in recovery, never been in a rehab center, but I know people who’ve come from the Southwestern Ohio Serenity Hall, a halfway house, and that place worked for them. I wonder what the life of one person helped is worth, compared with the costs incurred for one murderer incarcerated for life?
