All you Republicans out there don’t have to be afraid. It’s been 10 months and the sky isn’t falling. I know it might scare some of you to have a president who’s actually doing something — after having a president for eight long years who just about brought this country to its knees. You ought not to let the likes of Glenn Beck — who needs to be in a straightjacket — incite such fear in you. He’s a mental case. This might come as a surprise to you, but gays have always been in the military. About people using food stamps to buy food, I know you think they should eat — what? — dog food. If you had it your way, they would starve. I don’t blame Obama. I would ignore Fox, too.
In reply to the Oct. 26 Community Voice call about handicapped signs: What we see is not always a healthy person. I agree that healthy people who use their parents’ or grandparents’ handicapped sticker while parking are wrong. ... (But) Just because we don’t have walkers or are in a wheelchair, doesn’t mean that we are not ill.
Regarding the caller talking about the gays serving in the military and how horrible that is: That is an insult to the gays who are serving in the military now. The caller should be thanking them for the freedom they are giving him. Why did the JournalNews even print this junk? ...
It is amazing to me how a man like John Kerry has made a lifelong campaign of undermining the military. It goes all the way back to Vietnam, then to Iraq, and now Afghanistan. The best friends that terrorists, North Korea, Iraq and Iran could possibly ask for are folks like John Kerry and John Murtha. For some reason, this is ignored by the mainstream media. ... At what point is Kerry going to be held accountable? ...
Remember when George Bush was president and the liberal Democrats screamed and yelled every time gas prices went up a dime? “It’s Bush’s fault” and “he had to take care of his big-oil buddies.” Last week I got gas for $2.29. Now it’s $2.69. I guess (Barack) Obama has to take care of his oil buddies, but you don’t hear a thing from the same liberal Democrats. Maybe they finally figured out that the president doesn’t set gas prices.
I read where everybody is complaining about people on food stamps. I worked 30 years and paid taxes — just to lose my job six months ago. Yes, I get food stamps. Yes, I buy my children a bag of candy for the month. I don’t feel it is anybody else’s business. I think people who are not on food stamps should quit being so judgmental. It is already degrading enough to ask for help, let alone have to put up with hearing people griping about stuff that doesn’t affect them. ... Please, the next time you are in line and you see someone with a food stamp card, feel sorry for them — instead of downgrading them. ...
It’s sad for our country to be generalizing about people who are on welfare. People who receive welfare have not been on welfare all their lives. There are a lot of people who have lost their jobs and had to sign up for welfare. At one time, I needed the help. I’ve worked all of my life. In the last five years, I have been so sick that I’ve been put on Social Security. I don’t qualify for food stamps because I make $25 too much. ... It hurts my heart when people make statements like that because I know that some of the people who get welfare have worked. It is wrong for you to say that they should not be able to buy a steak. Why can’t they buy a steak? They’re human. Why can’t they buy candy for their kids for the whole month? There’s nothing wrong with that. Please, people, be more compassionate. ...

To the slime defending Obama - yes, for the 10% of Americans unemployed, the sky is falling. For the Americans dead of swine flu after Fuehrer Obama promised to deliver enough vaccine, the sky is falling. For the dead Afghan civilians killed by Fuehrer Obama's war, yes, the sky is falling.
