Nosy neighbors

Concerning the woman in Oxford who decorated the house for Halloween with a hearse in her side yard: Whoever complained is just a nosy, nitpicking person who needs a life. We have one on every street.

How are we wasting taxpayers’ money on food stamps by allowing people the option to eat well? What makes people want to punish the poor for being poor? Who said you can’t eat steak and lobster on food stamps, instead of beans and potatoes? I received food stamps as a struggling single mother of three and my children ate good balanced meals with a variety of meats and vegetables. It is called cooking. These people are having a run of bad luck; they aren’t brain dead. They are choosing good food over junk.

When the Bush administration sent our young men and women to Iraq, the Republicans didn’t say a word. Now that (Barack) Obama is president, they write to newspapers, flap their lips on TV, and act as though they had nothing to do with the war, the economy and the downfall of the middle-class citizen. They know where to put their money and come out rich — as they have always done. ...

Fox News is a news organization, only if you also consider conservative talk radio to be one. Their main concern is organizing an antigovernment movement. ...

To the Food Stamp lady. Nice of you to respond via e-mail which means you have a computer and internet service. I'll bet you even get the free cell phone from the government. The problem si that I am paying for you to get these things and when I see shopping carts full of potato chips, candy and pop I get very upset. It is like you laughing in my face and calling me a sucker.

Roger, Roger, Roger - If you open your mind the scales may fall from your eyes. There is a whole wide world outside Fox.

Fox News has talk radio and has daily news as well. Thankfully, Fox talk shows share information that the other networks fail to do. The information is truthful and honest. There is nothing antigovernment when Fox is telling us about the content of that freedom taking healthcare reform. There is nothing antigovernment when Fox speaks of Van Jones, Cass Sunstein and the other shady crooks the President has enlisted as "Czars!" I don't consider the Obama Administration government. They are crooks!
