Regarding everyone griping about the post office on the West Side: My mother has owned a house right across from the post office for 15 years and postal workers park in front of the house every day. We never have a parking spot. They really need to either get their own parking lot or they need to expand the parking lot. They need to do something because it is really ridiculous not even being able to park in front of your house.
I live on the West Side and I have never had one bit of trouble with having mail delivered on time. The only trouble is sometimes I forget to go out and get it till later. I had a wonderful mail person. They changed and this one is wonderful, also. I have no regrets. I cannot say anything bad about them. I am sorry this other person has nothing better to do than gripe about the mail delivery.
As I understand the case of the man killing the small pig, I am disgusted. I also think the JournalNews showed poor taste in even writing about it. As I understand it, two trained pit bulls caught and held a small pig, and the man cut the pig’s throat and got a rush from it. I believe the only rush he should have is one to a psychiatrist. It seems to me he certainly needs one.
I find it fascinating to hear the Democrats’ latest reason to pass health care: “It may not be a good bill. Fifty-seven percent of Americans are against, but we need to pass something.” Since when do you go out in life and do something that you know is wrong or is not popular and doesn’t have support but — even though it is wrong — you are going to do it anyway? Whatever happened to doing it right?
This is for all you deadbeat people who have a roof put on and when it’s time to pay, you don’t have the money. The people who put the roof on have family and bills to pay, too.
I saw where the liberals in the Senate passed a $140 billion jobs bill. What the heck was the stimulus bill supposed to do? A slush fund for the liberals? I think that’s what it is.
I attended the spaghetti dinner that St. Peter’s had. The children who carried the trays were polite and the adults were just so friendly. I just wanted to say what a good job that St. Pete’s did, having their spaghetti dinner. I would attend again.
