Money could be spent more wisely

I see that New Miami is once again attempting to get back into the law enforcement business and is advertising for a police chief. ... I, for one, believe the Butler County sheriff has done a pretty good job and this money could be better spent cleaning up the village and tearing down some of the old abandoned houses.

There is nothing more disturbing than to try to use the phone, and have a tape come on and tell you to press one, two, etc. I’m 83 years old and many times I just hang up.

Regarding the man killing the boar: In certain states, these hog populations cause a lot of problems — ruining land and damaging farmers’ crops. For all the people who are saying the pit bulls hold the hogs while the people slaughter them, that is an ignorant statement. They’ve been using dogs for many styles of hunting — from raccoons to rabbits. It is a method of protection because wild hogs have been known to kill and injure people. If you don’t like the article, there are others you can read. If you don’t subscribe to the JournalNews, then find a tree to hug somewhere else.
