Miller ‘warm, kind and compassionate’

A few weeks ago, if someone had asked me what image comes to mind when I hear the name Larry Miller, I would have automatically said: Little red and white election signs of a faceless man, who is running for Hanover Twp. trustee.

Today, if you were to ask me the same question, you would get a very different answer. Today I would tell you about a man who is warm, kind and compassionate. A man who has a giving heart (and) who went out of his way to help his neighbor in a time of trouble. ...

A few weeks prior, on an ordinary Friday, my husband was out mowing our lawn when he had an accident with the riding mower. He was burned very badly and had to be air-lifted to University Hospital. The chopper picked my husband up on land owned by Stony Run Trucking Co., which is owned and operated by Larry Miller and his family.

... A week after my husband got to come home, we got to meet Larry. He showed up on our doorstep with food. Larry knew my husband would be off work a while, and he had also heard we have four small children. But the giving heart of Larry and his family didn’t stop there. They organized a fundraiser which was held this past Sunday at (an) annual car show where they collected donations. There were so many people who gave us love and support during a scary time in our lives. ...

So I feel like I am doing the people of Hanover Twp. a favor by introducing them to a man who is not just a faceless name on an election sign. (He is) a man who is running for township trustee because he cares about his neighbors, his friends and the complete strangers who make up his community.
