To the residents of Fairfield: It’s difficult to put into words how very proud we are of all who helped in any way and the more than 4,000 residents who voted for me on my campaign for mayor of Fairfield. We are so grateful for the family and friends who sacrificed their time, energy and finances to work hard for the goal of me leading and serving this community as your mayor.
We are, of course, disappointed in the outcome, but feel the Lord must have other plans for us. Judy would have been a great “first lady,” inspiring her lifelong hometown. She’s sad that I won’t be able to implement all the ideas and visions I had of making Fairfield an even better place to live, work and play. She told me recently that losing the election didn’t change my character and the truth or facts of what I’ve been able to accomplish for the city and citizens we love.
We don’t know what the next four years will bring, but for now we congratulate Ron (D’Epifanio) for his win and will move on to continue serving in whatever way we can.
