I want to speak in defense of the West Side mail carriers. Living on the West Side for 35 years, I had no problems. No late mail, no wrong mail left in my box. Our carriers deserve a lot of credit for delivering our mail through that heavy snowfall. The carriers know everyone expects their mail delivered every day, even if a lot of it is junk mail. Thank you to all of our postal workers.

I am sitting in my car on High Street by the underpass and the cars are all the way up to Erie Highway. We have the finest drive-through city in the world — along with the best water in the world.

I am sad to see a man killing a wild boar in the JournalNews on the front page. This animal was not needed for food and died a slow death for the excitement of a hunter.

I am so outraged with these people who are disgusted with the killing of the boar. I’ve got my Hamilton JournalNews right here in my hands, (with) the killing of family pets, the killing of kids, and the screaming and howling at the trial of the little girl who was stabbed in the back. These people ought to be giving consideration for human beings, rather than worrying about a wild pig. They probably have bacon on their plates every day from a pig. ...

Regarding the alpaca that was beaten to death: I am sick and tired of people torturing our animals and getting away with it. I think they should have to spend 60 days in a cage at the animal shelter. Why would you print a front-page story about someone who stabbed a boar and bragged about it? You went into great detail describing how they trapped it and killed it.

I agree with the caller who said it was disgusting for the Hamilton JournalNews to print the article about the slaughter of a wild boar. I am very offended over such articles. By the way, I did cancel my subscription. ...

Mr. (Tony) Klimek: No one is denied health care. Health insurance is no more a right than auto insurance, home ownership, college, etc. Our rights, endowed by our creator, are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. Those opposing “Obamacare” — including Democrats, Republicans and independents — have a plan for reducing costs. (Barack) Obama only wants to control our lives. No, I do not want to buy your health insurance and millions more do not want to buy it for millions of illegal immigrants.
