I’d like to give a shout-out to all who participated in the recent Fairfield Summer Activities Fair.
The goal of the Summer Fair was to present fifth- through eighth-grade students with a wide variety of meaningful summer activities. Nearly 30 vendors from Fairfield, Butler County and surrounding areas attended, many with fun games, prizes and treats. Students started streaming through the doors as soon as we opened.
You never know how well an event like this will be attended, so it was extremely heartening to see the great turnout. Fairfield Rotary, a primary sponsor of the fair, undoubtedly attracted many in the crowd with their free raffle gifts and games. Their members also turned out in large numbers to assist with set-up, registration and clean-up.
Fairfield City Schools, the other primary sponsor, not only hosted the event, but the middle and intermediate school principals and staff gave great support in promoting the fair. ...
It’s a nice thing when so many people from local groups and organizations get together to support our youth.
