‘Follow their lead’

As a local resident, I am delighted that our Butler County commissioners and Sheriff Richard Jones have endorsed Issue 3. It’s clear that the $17 million designated for Butler County will greatly improve our budgetary situation for the county and local school districts.

I agree completely with Commission President Don Dixon, who said capturing those dollars is essential to our community. He is correct, and we need to follow their lead and vote “yes” on Issue 3.

Along with the rest of Ohio, our local economy is struggling, and we need to jump-start it quickly. As well as the ongoing share of tax revenues that will come to our area, a casino in downtown Cincinnati will benefit Butler County through employment opportunities.

Also, many residents here go to the riverboats in Indiana to gamble on a regular basis. Wouldn’t you like to see that money remain in Ohio?

I urge the citizens of Butler County to support this proposal because it makes sense for Ohio and Butler County. Thank you to our elected officials for taking the lead on this issue. Now let’s follow them to the polls on Nov. 3 and vote “yes” on Issue 3.

By all means! Follow the lead of the Good Old Boys who aided and abetted Mike Fox in ripping off the taxpayers of Butler County. Only a fool would trust one of them.
