It is funny how big hypocrites Obama supporters are. Since Obama moved into the White House as our president, gas prices have shot up roughly a dollar per gallon, and I don’t recall any of you Obama supporters calling into the Hamilton JournalNews attacking Obama for making his rich oil buddies richer at our expense. Nor do I recall any of you Obama- supporting hypocrites calling and demanding Obama give this country his exit strategy for Afghanistan. He is sending 26,000 more troops into harm’s way, and I don’t recall any of you liberal hypocrites demanding an exit strategy from this man. I guess this is the hope and change we all can believe in. Yes, more of the same.

I don’t understand something about the new public school buildings in Hamilton. All the old elementary school buildings had fall-out shelters or safe places in case of weather or military emergency. Now they are building all the new buildings, and none of them even have a basement or safe place. What are the kids to do in an emergency?

I read in Saturday's Journal News (June 27) where the city dont have the necessary budget to complete the repaving projects scheduled for this year. The article stated there was enough money for about half. I understand this problem. The article further explained the plan to hire an outside consultant to priortize streets for the paving project.
Why don't the upper management of the street department do the job they were hired to do and forget the consultant. This is truly a waste.

Obama Critic,

Gas prices naturally go up during the spring and summer months as recreation increases. Gas was $1.46 when Bush took office. No one was calling for an exit strategy from Afghanistan. We should be there until we find bin Laden and further debilitate those who attacked us. They were calling for an exit strategy in Iraq. Obama has set one. And yes, Obama has changed several Bush policies since taking office.

Haven't you heard the cry "it's for our children" that justifies everything. Give teachers more money - it's for the children. Give the kids new classrooms - it's for our children. Tugs at your heart huh....

I recently went to Hamilton's new freshman building, they have tv's everywhere...cafeteria, hallways...which I heard will have espn on during the day??? Maybe they could huddle under one of the several tv's....or maybe they could run out to one of the ballfields and hide in the dugouts...since when does education involve sports fields and tv's everywhere....I could'nt afford a new tv...I had to pay my real estate taxes.....what a waste....and only getting worse
