Palin visit update … and more questions

Before we get into the details, here’s another question for you: What’s the one question you want to ask Sarah Palin if you had the chance when she visits on Friday in West Chester?

Drop your comment below.

Now…

West Chester officials spent the afternoon today, Oct. 14, continuing to work out the details of Friday’s visit of Gov. Sarah Palin.

The township will have two designated parking spots, the first in a field where the new Embassy Suites will be built later this year; the second across from U.S. Bank along Union Centre Boulevard. Both are within walking distance. However, the lots are only expected to hold between 1,000 and 1,200 vehicles, meaning a lot of people will have to fend for themselves if organizers are correct in their estimations today.

Nearby businesses will also be notified in the coming days, and if they have concerns about event-goers parking in their lots, they are asked to police the area themselves, according to Township Administrator Judi Boyko.

Centre Pointe Drive from Centre Loop Drive to Centre Loop Drive, and Towne Centre Drive, just north of Centre Loop Drive, will be closed to traffic starting Thursday, Oct. 16, and will remain closed until after the event, according to Barb Wilson, the township’s public information officer. Additional closures may be needed on Friday, she said.

Boyko said that traffic will be maintained to area businesses during normal hours of operation.

Wilson also said the McCain/Palin campaign will be reimbursing the township on all costs incurred. A “ballpark” figure is expected to be given to the campaign later this week, Wilson said, and then a more accurate figure is expected by the event.

Questions can be directed to the township’s information line at (513) 759-3036.

Questions about tickets can be directed to the Butler County GOP’s Headquarters, (513) 893-5292, or the Friends of John Boehner West Chester office at (513) 779-8435 or (800) 228-8551.

Do you think that your pettiness and vindictiveness, evidenced in your Troopergate scandal, reflect those same qualities shown by President W?

I think you are forward and will give the public the straight answers asked. My question is to you and as representing Sen. McCain, that is the present Gov. going to do with AIG about returning te $400,000 spents at that retreat just after the Fed. Gov. bailed them out and how would you and are you trying to do something to get them to return that money back into the funding money for the bail out process? This questions is directed to show the public (Obama supporters) that you are already doing something even now before the election and this is designed to get more voters for you. I have already voted absenteed and I’m behind you all the way. I want to be secured that others know what is being done about this fact. Thanks for coming to the West Chester, Oh area and supporting our troups, children in need, Main Street residents, and our countries future!! Sincerely and respectfully, Bren Quiett Reisch

Sarah; I am still undecided on who to vote for on Nov.4. I am leaning toward the McCain/Palin ticket. John McCain’s service to this country vs. Sen. Obama’s lack there of is the factor that leads me to your ticket. My biggest concern is your pro-life stance. Now bear in mind I understand that this issue has divided opinions, but I believe a woman should have the right to CHOOSE! Can you give me any words of comfort regarding this issue that by voting for the McCain/Palin ticket Roe Vs. Wade will not be overturned?

Sarah; First of all thank you for making Butler County a stop on your campaign for the White House. I am still undecided about which ticket to vote for on Nov. 4. Sen. McCain’s service to this country and Sen. Obama’s lack thereof is swaying me to the McCain/Palin ticket. My biggest concern though is your pro-life stance. Can you give me any words of wisdom in regards to this issue that Roe vs. Wade will NOT be overturned? I believe a woman should have the right to CHOOSE! Resspectfully, Mary K. Nugent Hamilton, Ohio

Sarah, my question is, why don’t you bow out of the race? Many respected conservative figures have called you unexperienced and essentially an embarrassment to the Republican party. McCain was a respected politician before he made the biggest mistake of the race so far, choosing YOU as a vice president candidate. The world is watching America and our choices will reflect harshly upon us if we choose you to be a heartbeat away. Bow out now, please. Your children deserve a mother that is there for them, and not out there pretending and lying to the American people on a daily basis.
