Huffington Post: Butler GOP office ‘palatial’

In a story about party and campaign headquarters nationwide, the Huffington Post describes the Butler County Republican Party headquarters as ostentatious, second only to the party headquarters in Manhattan:

Perched atop a grassy mound just down the road from Walden Ponds Golf Course, Butler County HQ comfortably straddles a half-circular drive with a wide awning ideal for protecting guests from the rain. It’s also the clubhouse for one of the country’s most powerful Republican politicians, House Minority Leader John Boehner. President George Bush trolled for green here in 2004, and it paid off. The county voted overwhelmingly for the president and has contributed handsomely to Republican causes over the years. Maybe that’s why this modestly-sized county sports a palatial office in a relatively high-rent neighborhood. Across the street you’ll find a residential development with $300,000 single family homes.

The House that Greed, Corruption, and Arrogance built. Seems like The Huffington Post got it right. I guess they do have to have a place to go play, away from the riff-raff. With the vast majority of Butler Countians struggling to pay for gas and food and shelter, one must have such a retreat to be able to put such crass menial concerns of the underprivleged out of sight.

Another fine example of the legacy left behind by the great Carlos Todd. Along with his sidekick Joe Schwarz they managed to jam this monstrosity down the throats of the common members of the party. The so called “Todd Mahal” makes me cringe! However, it doesn’t truly represent the average Republican no matter how much this liberal biased press wishes is it would. In the end, it probably won’t make a lick of difference.

“this liberal biased press”(rinoblaster) That’s one of my favorite rightwing sillinesses. Their is no such thing as “liberal biased press” There is media which do not tell the truth and continually lie to make sure they have the support of those who want to hear what they want to hear, and there is media which says what is true, no matter what their listenership or readership would like to hear. For some reason, not logical to say the least, the latter is deemed to be “liberal” and “biased”. Let’s get something straight. Just because you don’t like what you hear, does not mean that it is baised. You just don’t like the facts. Republicans don’t like facts because facts screw up their warped view of life and America. There have been billions of facts in the past eight years which show clearly that Bush is incompetent and dangerour to our country. There still are about 23% (Republicans) who refuse to accept the facts. So please explain to me how these 23%, ” truly represent the average Republican”> I think it is pretty clear from the past eight years what the “average Republican” represents.

You wouldn’t know a real republican if one bit you in the rear. It’s liberal mongering idiots like yourself who jump at any opportunity to slam the party. So you want to pick a fight with what I have to say, your right, however it makes you no more or less of a donkey and we know the other term for that! Go on with yourself big boy and pick on someone else. Just because someone calls themself a republican, doenst mean it is so. What’s life gonna be like under Alfred C. Obama?

“What’s life gonna be like under Alfred C. Obama?”(rhinoblaster) Well, a lot less of our soldiers will be killed. Our debt will start to go down. Science will be respected once again. School grade averages will start to go up. People who are sick will be able to be taken care of, whether they are poor or not. Taxes will go down for 98% of all taxpayers, America will be respected around the worls again. Torture will be outlawed once again and forever. Programs to build new jobs for those who lost their jobs to India and China will be started. Workers will be helped, not ignored. Our country will be save once again because we will have a fighting force which has a goal not a lie as their guide. We will have less need for foreign oil because we have figured out that there are other sources of energy, the ones Republicans have blocked for years in payment to their Big Oil and Big Car friends. Our Constitution won’t be ridiculed and trashed anymore. So, Rhino, pretty much the exact opposite of what it was under Bush or would be under McBush. BTW, I think you were refering in Alfred E. Newman. And thanks for the warning. Where did you and thopse Republicans ever get the abnormal desire to bite people in the rear. That’s pretty Kinky. Bet Larry Craig (R.Id) loves it.
