Woman robbed at gunpoint in Middletown nursing home parking lot

Police are investigating a robbery this morning in the parking lot of a Middletown nursing home.

A woman told police she was getting out of her car at The Residence at Kensington Place on Kensington Street at about 9:30 a.m. when a man approached her with a gun and grabbed her purse, said Lt. Scott Reeve.

The suspect then ran and was last seen on Grand Avenue. A police officer and a police dog attempted to track the suspect, but were unsuccessful, according to Reeve.

The suspect was described as a black male wearing black pants, a black hoodie and black tennis shoes.
