Woman revived after apparent overdose at Middletown train tracks

Another person who apparently overdosed had a close call with a train Wednesday in Middletown.

Travis Richmond, an assistant track supervisor for Norfolk-Southern, called police about 1:30 p.m. to the railroad tracks south of the University Boulevard/14th Avenue overpass, according to the police report.

Richmond said a personnel on a passing train saw a “body laying on the side of the tracks.”

Victoria Duvall, 33, was found unconscious due to a heroin overdose, according to the report.

The emergency squad gave Duvall 12 doses of Narcan and she responded. Duvall was transported to Atrium Medical Center for treatment. She was also issued a criminal summons for disorderly conduct.
