West Chester Twp. still on the hunt for a new administrator

The search is still on for a new West Chester Twp. administrator to replace veteran Judi Boyko, and under the hiring schedule three new trustees will make the final decision.

After 25 years of service to the township — in various capacities — Boyko resigned to become Hamilton County’s assistant county administrator. Her last day was Aug. 1. Trustees hired Larry Fronk to serve as interim administrator, and he has been in place since the end of June.

Trustee Mark Welch told the Journal-News the Novak group has received 25 applications and will continue to accept them until Oct. 9. He said they are scheduled to meet with the consultants at the end of October to discuss the most promising applicants and will interview the top five on Nov. 13 and 14.

With all three trustee positions open on the November ballot, under the hiring schedule, the applicants will be vetted by all the elected officials.
