Trenton company expanding, to open nearly $1M new building

Magnode Corporation in Trenton is several months away from opening a new facility.

Under construction, the new commercial building at 400 E. State St. is valued at $926,380, according to permits filed this summer with the county.

David Longworth, the company’s controller, told this news outlet that the company broke ground earlier this year on the the property for a brand new building due to expansion.

Completion of the project is expected during the first quarter of 2018, Longworth said.

Magnode, a 70-year-old company, is an aluminum extruder producing aluminum parts for various industries. It’s been in Trenton for a majority of that time and employs approximately 225 people between that facility and a fabrication group in Indianapolis.
