1. Voter registration
The deadline for voter registration for those wishing to vote in the upcoming Nov. 7 election is Tuesday, Oct. 10. Those registering after this date will not be eligible to vote in November’s election but may vote in subsequent elections.
Online voter registration is now available at MyOhioVote.com or electors may register to vote at area libraries, public high schools, Bureau of Motor Vehicles facilities and government offices.
Voter registration forms may also be found on the Butler County Board of Elections website, www.butlercountyelections.org, and the Warren County Board of Elections website , warrencountyboe.us.
Those without computer access may call their county board of elections. For Butler County residents, they can call 513-887-3700 (513-424-0469 from the Middletown area). For Warren County residents, they can call 513-695-1358.
If you’ve moved or had a name change, voters should also update their voter registration form prior to the registration deadline.
Butler and Warren county voters have until 9 p.m. in either office to register or make updates to their voter information.

2. Early voting
As mandated by the Ohio Secretary of State, all county boards of elections in Ohio will be open for in-person early voting during the same hours. They include:
- 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11 to Friday, Oct. 13
- 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays from Monday, Oct. 16 to Friday, Oct. 27
- 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Monday, Oct. 30 to Friday, Nov. 3
- 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4
- 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 5
- 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 6
Polls are open on Election Day, Nov. 7 from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The Butler County Board of Elections is located at 1802 Princeton Road, Suite 600, in Hamilton. The Warren County Board of Elections is located at 520 Justice Drive in Lebanon.
Voters may also vote by mail, known as absentee ballots. They must complete and send an application by noon on Saturday, Nov. 4. An application may be downloaded the Ohio Secretary of State website, MyOhioVote.com, or the election websites in Butler County or Warren County.

Ballots returned by mail must be postmarked no later than Monday, Nov. 6, 2017, and must be received by the Board of Elections no later than Nov. 17, 2017 (10 days after the election). Ballots may be delivered in person by the voter or voter’s family member to the local elections office by close of polls on Election Day.
Vote by mail ballots may not be returned to a polling location on Election Day.

3. Overseas and military ballots
Out-of-country civilian and military service men and woman must request a ballot be sent to them and it must be returned by Nov. 6 and received by Nov. 17 in order to be counted.
The first batch of ballots for November’s election were mailed out on Sept. 23.
