Hamilton County also dropped 1.5 percent year-to-date. A total of 462 single-family permits have been issued in the county through October, compared to 469 in 2016.
Warren County continues to have the most overall number of permits with a total of 1,117 single-family permits from January through October, a 27.9 percent increase.
Clermont County led all four counties for the fourth month in a row registering a 44.5 percent increase with a total of 383 single-family permits through October, compared to only 266 in 2016.

The top 10 markets for single-family home permits through October were:
- Hamilton Twp. (Warren County): 263
- Liberty Twp. (Butler County): 239
- Mason (Warren County): 146
- Deerfield Twp. (Warren County): 141
- Clearcreek Twp. (Warren County): 124
- Batavia Twp. (Clermont County): 114
- Turtlecreek Twp. (Warren County): 105
- Cincinnati (Hamilton County): 94
- West Chester Twp. (Butler County): 76
- South Lebanon (Warren County): 68
