These 10 communities lead Cincinnati region in new home permits

A total of 2,465 single-family new home permits were issued through October in Butler, Clermont, Hamilton, and Warren counties compared to 2,170 in 2016, a 13.6 percent overall increase, according to the Home Builders Association of Greater Cincinnati.

Butler County experienced a year-to-date decrease of 10.7 percent, with 503 total permits, compared to 563 at this point last year.

Hamilton County also dropped 1.5 percent year-to-date. A total of 462 single-family permits have been issued in the county through October, compared to 469 in 2016.

Warren County continues to have the most overall number of permits with a total of 1,117 single-family permits from January through October, a 27.9 percent increase.

Clermont County led all four counties for the fourth month in a row registering a 44.5 percent increase with a total of 383 single-family permits through October, compared to only 266 in 2016.

The top 10 markets for single-family home permits through October were:

  4. Deerfield Twp. (Warren County): 141
  5. Clearcreek Twp. (Warren County): 124
  6. Batavia Twp. (Clermont County): 114
  7. Turtlecreek Twp. (Warren County): 105
  8. Cincinnati (Hamilton County): 94
  9. West Chester Twp. (Butler County): 76
  10. South Lebanon (Warren County): 68

“It’s been a fantastic year for new home production,” said Dan Dressman, HBA Executive Director. “The good news is that 2018 promises to be even better.”
