The area’s newest club for kids just got a boost from local restaurants

The Boys & Girls Club of West Chester/Liberty is the latest recipient of a local restaurant company’s generosity.

The youth club, which opened in early December, has received a donation of $17,755 from CTI Restaurants, Inc. The money will be used for program supplies and specialty education programs.

Donation funds were raised from two national Taco Bell Foundation corporate fundraisers and local, in-store canister funds from CTI Restaurants’ 11 Taco Bells in Butler and Warren counties. Cashiers at each restaurant location asked guests if they would like to donate $1 to help area youth graduate from high school, succeed in life and become good citizens.

CTI Restaurants is owned by Rebecca and Todd Wilber of West Chester. They raise funds twice a year to give back to the community.

Wilber also announced that CTI Restaurants is establishing a $5,000 scholarship fund for local high school students beginning in 2018. It most recently raised $20,000 to benefit The Heroes’ Fund, a nonprofit organization which provides one-time emergency financial aid to combat-zone veterans and their families in Butler, Hamilton, and Warren counties.
